International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study and practice of political, economic, and social interactions among sovereign states and other global actors. It encompasses the analysis of international issues and events, the behavior of governments, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and multinational corporations. The field examines concepts such as diplomacy, conflict, cooperation, power dynamics, and international norms and laws. Scholars in international relations aim to understand how these interactions shape global politics, influence decision-making, and affect peace and security on a global scale. The discipline includes various theories, such as realism, liberalism, and constructivism, each providing different perspectives on how nations interact and the underlying motivations behind their actions.
