Basketbal

The term „Basketbal,“ commonly known as „basketball,“ refers to a popular team sport where two teams, typically consisting of five players each, compete to score points by shooting a ball through the opposing team’s hoop. The game is played on a rectangular court with a hoop elevated 10 feet above the ground at each end. Players can move the ball towards the hoop using dribbling or passing. The objective is to score more points than the opponent by successfully making field goals (worth two or three points depending on the distance) or free throws (worth one point). Basketball emphasizes skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and teamwork, and it can be played indoors or outdoors. The sport is governed by official rules, and it has a wide following globally, with prominent leagues and competitions, notably the NBA (National Basketball Association) in the United States.
