Košarka

Košarka is the Croatian term for basketball, which is a team sport in which two teams, typically consisting of five players each, compete to score points by shooting a ball through the opponent’s hoop or basket. The game is played on a rectangular court, and the primary objective is to outscore the opposing team by making more baskets. Players can move the ball towards the hoop by dribbling or passing, and points are scored by making field goals (two or three points depending on the distance from the hoop) or free throws (one point). Košarka is characterized by its fast-paced play, strategic teamwork, and individual skill, with various positions such as point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center each fulfilling specific roles. It is a popular sport worldwide, with numerous professional leagues, including the NBA, as well as international competitions such as the FIBA World Cup and the Olympic Games.
